Looking forward to June to meet you guys. You make our state look good and we
need all the good will that we can get. Can't you guys record some music together
in Fort Payne? You don't have to tour to sell your music. How about one reunion
album?

Why are there no messages since Easter? Is the system down? I heard that
Randy might be writing a book. That is one I would love to read.

First of all I would like to say hello to Randy, Jeff, Teddy and Mark.
Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for these four talented individuals
and the footprint that they have left us artists to follow. I grew up in a small
town in Texas (Still live there) and I remember sometime in the early 80's, Alabama
played in Brownwood, Texas about 25 miles west of where I live. My brother Donnie
played piano in a band called Texas Pride and I remember one night in a bar one
of the guys in my brother's band kept sticking quarters in the jukebox playing
My Homes In Alabama over and over and all at once he stopped and just stared at
everyone and said 'One of these days we are going to open for these guys! About
6 months later they got a call from someone who asked them to open for Alabama.
They had already been the opening act for Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap and Hank
Jr. I remember these guys were on clould nine (Can you blame them?) Anyway it
was one of my most memorable concerts and the Boys in Alabama were so nice! Fast
forward about 28 years..I myself started my own band and every time we would play
out somewhere someone in the crowd would yell out Alabama!! You see, I have been
told that I look like Randy as well as sound like him. Maybe I didnt know it back
then but I believe Randy made a bigger impression on me than I first thought.
Even now I can walk into a restaurant or a convenient store and some will just
stare but most often someone will say, Hey has anyone ever told you that you look
like that guy who sings for Alabama!!(In Case you are wondering I am 48 years
old) Now folks I am talking about the towns here in Texas that I visit. So I believe
that Alabama left a small footprint in this small Texas town and its amazing how
people treat me just knowing that maybe just maybe I could be him. What an honor!!
I just wanted the guys to know what a difference they made in this smalltown boys
life. God bless you Randy,Jeff,Teddy and Mark

I grew up a rocker but with working-class, dairy farm roots in Western
Massachusetts (the grandson of hardworking Slovak immigrants), have always had
"country" in my blood, too. People in the South might not realize, though
I'm sure the Alabama boys and any other country act that have toured up North
do, just how much love for country and Southern music there is in the North, and
the shared cultural loves (just come to any country fair in New England and you'll
see). And that's of course very true for love of the greats like the Allman Brothers,
Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, Skynyrd, and others; in the 1970s, my teen
years, the enthusiasm I remember for those bands was incredible. Large areas of
the North and even the Northeast are rural, and we love our country--the music
and the USA--dearly. And I love Alabama: their songs like "Fallin' Again"
and "She and I" and "Born Country" and "There's No Way"--I
can listen to them over and over. What talent you guys have, what gifts. One of
my great regrets is that I and my wife did not get down to see you in Wallingford,
Conn., on your farewell tour. You make wonderful music, so evocative of the land
and the human spirit of love, the sense of fun (like "the cheap seats"),
the values all decent people share wherever they may live. Be well.
Tom Pitoniak in Westfield, Mass
Good morning Alabama,
I just wanted to write to you to let you know how much your work has influence
my life. I have been a fan of yours for a long time. I appreciate your achievements
and accomplishments - you are a wonderful role model for people around the world.

Hey Guys! I wanted to thank you and the wonderfully delightful lady who
waited on my parents at the Fan Club store and museum last week. On their recent
trip to visit friends in Alabama, my mom and dad stopped there just for me. They
know how much I have ALWAYS loved Alabama. My mom drove me 200 miles to see you
in Indiana in 1983. She spent all day in the terrible August heat so that her
15 year old could be awestruck. Now, at 40 and a parent of teenagers, I realize
how lucky I was. Randy, you were my teen idol. You have remained so through the
years. Anyway, last week, my Mom called me from the store to tell me that it had
just closed and missed Randy by about 90 minutes. They spent the night in town
and went the next morning. She called to ask what I wanted from there. The lady
who helped them was so sweat and friendly. I am sure my mom went on and on about
how I was Alabama and Randy's greatest fan. While they had not planned to, she
insisted that they go through the museum ( without charge) so that my dad could
get pictures for me. She gave them a map to your farm so that they could get more
pictures for me. My parents knew that they were in my Mecca and wished I could
be there. The friendly lady did all that she could to help them take it all home
for me. She even gave them Inspirational CD when she learned that they were not
Alabama fans (burned out form hearing my records years ago), they did like Gospel.
They loved it! They didn't get the lady's name, but wanted to thank her again.
All love and thanks,
Vicki from Ohio

To Alabama,
I have been a big fan of yours for as long as I can remember. And I've had the
great honor of seeing you live in concert just two times (not enough if you ask
me). Both times I will never forget. Your songs have hit home with me on many
occasions. Expecially the song "Close Enough to Perfect", It's a song
that I hold dear to my heart, becuse it seems like you wrote it about my wife
and I. And I thank you for that. I had heard a rumor that you may be getting back
together for another album. I hope it is true, because you are missed. I truly
believe, hands down you are the greatest country band ever.
Roll On!

I just wanted to write and let you know that Christmas at my house wouldn't
be the same without your album (yes, album) playing in the background. Daddy introduced
us to the magic of Alabama when we were very young and the Alabama Christmas record
is as much a tradition as the tree. My sister and I are both married and live
away from our parents now, but every year, there's at least the one constant--
each of our houses has "Thistlehair" in the background from Thanksgiving
until Christmas day, and Christmas Eve and morning that's the soundtrack at our
parents' house. I just know that tradition will be passed on to my niece. Thank
you for the wonderful memories!

Hey Guys, My family and I wanted you to know you have been fans of ours
from the beginning of your careers. I took my children to see you when they were
little, something they still talk about. But the biggest thing that is so dear
to all of my family was when our Dad passed away March 7th, 2007. He was a retired
trucker, a job he had for 51 years. We played “Roll On” as the last
song at his funeral, and then we had him taken to the cemetary on the back of
a Big Rig. Someone built a platform that sit on the back of the truck for his
casket to sit on. We knew he was right at home on the back of that truck going
to his final resting place. Thank you for all the wonderful music you have made
over the years. There will never be another group that can top you guys. THANKS!!!!!

HI Guys. My name is A.J. I’ve been a country music fan & a fan
of yours since the late 1970’s. I can’t believe it’s only been
4 years since you came off the road. I saw you every time you came to S. Fla.
Besides being a fan, I am a mobile DJ & love playing your music anytime my
clients request country music. Is there any chance of you guys doing a small tour
down the road.
I know you haven’t broken up. So, it wouldn’t be a reunion tour. Randy,
might your new solo album lead to some touring ? As June is a very busy month
for us with weddings & graduations, getting away to Ft. Payne for your festival
would be a MAJOR sacrifice. Thanx for your many year of great songs & very
entertaining concerts. Alabama certainly is 1 of the greatest musical groups of
all time / any genre. You’re definitely my favorite & my wife’s.
Take Care guys. A.J. – Miramar, Fl.
Two years ago the Gunn family played your song "Pictures and Memories"
during our dad's funeral service. We live in Denver, Colorado and just wanted
to let you know that we are big fans or yours and how much comfort your song gave
us.

Hi Guys....
I have been playing in bands here in Western Kentucky for the last 25 or 30 years
and in all the places that I have played, when the people get a little lazy or
just don't want to get up and dance, me and the boys just go into one of our many
Alabama songs and the dance floor fills up like water in a rain barrel. Fast or
slow, NOBODY can pass up an Alabama song...
Thanks for makin' my life better for so long..............

Was excited to be able to go to the Alabama Theatre and watch Randy in
concert. It was great and as usual Randy poured his whole heart in his performance.
I was a little disappointed that Jeff, Teddy, Mark, Dino and Larry were not there
but I would like to compliment the new band and their energy. It was uplifting.
Congratulations Randy on your new songs. Hope to see you in the Northern States
one of these days.
BARBARA, Montgomery, New York
I grew up in Fort Payne and miss it very much. When I was in the eighth
grade at Ft. Payne Middle I finished the year and my parents got back together.
Unfortunately that meant moving to Birmingham. That was almost eight years ago.
I just turned twenty one and me and my girlfriend are thinging of marryiogn and
moving to Ft. Payne. I may have had to go to a Birmingham high school, but I always
have and always will consider myself a Fort Payne Wildcat. I saw the video for
"I'm Not That Way Anymore" for the first time the other day on cmt.com
and it touched my heart and I almost cried. Keep up the good work guys and GO
Cats!

I have been a huge fan of the band for almost 30 years. But I can't figure
out why you took that picture from the Box Set and airbrushed Mark Herndon's picture
out for the new live album. Especially because he plays on all the songs. You
guys make good music but some only an idiot would think that there is an Alabama
without Mark Herndon. Come on guys. Get your senses and have a real re-union tour.
Frank
WOW! Was fortunate enough to see Randy perform at the Alabama Theatre
Saturday and what a show it was!!!!! It was seeing the Randy of years past: relaxed,
happy, energetic and very entertaining. He still has his amazing voice and can
still make the ladies swoon (was there ever any doubt?) He was kind enough to
hold a "Meet and Greet" following the show too. It really made me miss
the "complete Alabama band" though as it just wasn't the same without
Teddy and Jeff. The new CD will be FANTASTIC and if you have the opportunity to
see Randy in concert, you will not be disappointed.
Also, there was a gentleman in line after me with a service dog that had located
a missing little girl a while back that Randy wanted a picture of the dog. I made
3 of Randy with the dog. I would like to send them to the gentleman that owned
the dog if possible. I did not get his name/address. So if anyone has information,
please email me at: hollyjonichols@yhaoo.com

It was awesome seeing Randy at the 92.5 radio concert Monday 2/18/08 in
Southington CT. His voice is better than ever and the crowd was so excited to
have Randy entertain us and bring back that "Alabama" atmosphere to
a concert. Everyone was clapping and singing along with every song. We are so
glad you are back singing and recording even if all the Alabama guys aren't with
you, but we do miss them. At the end of the concert you captured everyone's attention
when you sang your new song "Braid My Hair". It is a remarkable song
and I can only wish and pray that the words become true for children with life
threatening illnesses. You are a wonderful person and thank you for getting Country
music and its fans involved with St. Jude's Hospital. It is our pleasure to donate
to St. Jude's and hope for a cure. Randy you are the BEST. Keep up the good work
and please plan another concert in Connecticut real soon. Looking forward to your
new CD, I play your new song "Braid My Hair" everyday as well as I pray
for the sick children that God will be with them. Love to you and all the other
Alabama boys.

Hello,
My name is Jeffrey Privette, I've been listening and seeing ALABAMA at the York
Fair in York, Pennsylvania for years. I just want to let you know that I still
listen to you everyday. I really miss watching you at the York Fair. Mom told
me when I was younger, one year at the fair I had run up to the stage and looked
up at Randy Owen. I loved all of your songs, especially Roll On, 40 Hour Week,
Mountian Music, God must have spent a little more time on you, and a lot more
of your songs.
Thank you,
Jeffrey Privette

Randy, Teddy, Jeff, and Mark: just wanted to say that I have been a LONG
TIME FAN of the group, growing up, a friend of mine allways associated me with
Randy, because she was a fan just like I was at the time. I just wanted to say
that if you guys ever get back together and come back out on tour, I would really
love to get to drive one of the trucks, as I was a driver on Reba's tour in 98.

Your new single, "Braid My Hair" has really inspired me. Not only do
I love the song, but the stories that have been submitted on your website in relation
to the song are so touching. Its amazing the effect it has on families and children

First let me begin by saying that I have been a fan of Alabama for as
long as I can remember. You guys still rock! I actually got to see you in the
early 90's at the Alltel Pavilion in Raleigh, NC. Kenny Chesney opened up for
you all and it was just an awesome show. My brother once sang "Old Flame"
at a high school talent show and told our mom not to attend because he'd be too
nervous. She sneaked in, of course, not realizing how well he could sing. Needless
to say, he never had a problem with girls after that.
kwoodsm
Teddy,
Have a great birthday! Wishing you a happy, healthy 2008.

I read that Randy will be doing a new CD. He said he decided too after
doing a few tours with his “new band” and he thought the fans would
be interested. Randy most of the songs you played were BAMA songs and we loved
them. But we die hard fans will certainly buy your CD. Sorry to hear that Jeff
and his new partner are no longer together anymore. I also saw a picture of Teddy
with Emerson Drive, did he have a part in their beautiful song “Moments”?
I guess he is doing more then raising prize cattle. I guess it just goes to show
that Randy, Jeff, Teddy and Mark are meant to be together.
"Hill, Nancy G."
I again heard your song '40 hour week' on the radio last night. It is
one of my favorites. I started to think..what if you did something like that with
the same tune but in honour of our fighting men and women who keep us free. Something
like "this is for the one who drives the tank keeping us free, this is for
the combat medic who helps the wounded, this is for the signal oporater who keeps
us in touch...you work for us, America, to help keep us free". I don't know.
Just a thought.
Thanks and God Bless.

First saw you in Stockton, Ca. in 1985. Loved y'all. I don't think there
is a bad song you do at all. High Cotton is probably my favorite. I do love Song

you.

Randy,
I am thrilled that your solo album will soon be available. However, I wish it
had a guestbook and videos such as this site. As it does not, I am asking for
a schedule of your up comming tour. I need to make plans to get to the nearest
to me. Randy, I have another request. Please write an autobiographic book. As
your greatest fan, I know several facts about you and the band's history, but
I crave more. You are a writer. You are a wonderfully talented writer with rich
life experiences. Please, use your talent to share yourself to us. I want to hear
details...specific incidents...how everything made you feel. You have expressed
yourself through music for years. Please keep the music coming and start that
book!
All my love,

Woo-hoo!! New music from Randy! Can't wait to get my hands on that CD
this Spring. Just got goosebumps reading about "Braid My Hair"- to benefit
St.Jude. What a blessing Randy and everyone involved in this project (and so many
others) have been to these kids. This is what being a real "star" is
all about.
Anxiously awaiting The Alabama Theater performance, in Myrtle Beach, February

Is there a reason why he is not pictured.

TO THE GUYS IN ALABAMA I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN TO ANY GROUP SINCE BEING A
TEEN AGER. WE, AS A FAMILY HAVE MANY OF YOUR CD’S BUT OUR MOST FAVORITE
IS YOUR CHRISTMAS CD AND ESCPECIALLY “THISTLE HAIR THE CHRISTMAS BEAR”.
FOR MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF THAT ALWAYS SIGNALED THE BEGINNING OF THE HOLIDAYS.
I COULD HEAR THAT TUNE BEING PLAYED OVER AND OVER AGAIN THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY
SEASON. TWO YEARS AGO MY SON WAS KILLED BY A NEGLIGENT DRIVER RIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS
SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE NOT CELEBRATED CHRISTMAS. FOR US THE WORLD STOPPED AND
DID NOT RESTART. MY SON CAME ALIVE AT CHRISTMAS AS WE ALL DID AND EVEN TODAY IT
IS JUST NOT RIGHT,BUT THIS YEAR WE FOUND YOUR CD AND PLAYED “THISTLE HAIR
AND SANG IT LOUD FOR MY SON TO HEAR IN HEAVEN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFULL MUSIC.

I Tried to get this out to you on your birthday, but I have a new computer,

birthday

Well ALABAMA fans, my local country station WMZQ took a survey as to who
got the listeners into country music. You guessed it ALABAMA. I was always a country
music fan, but the minute I heard Mountain Music I couldn’t get enough of
Randy, Jeff, Teddy and Mark. I still get goose bumps when I hear their music.
It will never grow old. Roll on ALABAMA!!!

Happy New Year, ALABAMA!
Hey Randy, in your "Hello from Randy" in the Fan Club newsletter, you
mentioned that you had been to NC, SC, GA, TN; VA, MS, WVA, KY, AR, and MO. However,
in this "alphabet soup," you forgot PA!
Please don't forget PA again after your concert at Lancaster in July!

Hey Bama Boys.
I am a long time fan and just wanted to wish the boys a very happy new year and

Hi,
I just wanted to tell you that I think I have the youngest Alabama fan in
the world at my house. My 2 year old son loves Alabama. Every time we go
anywhere in our Jeep he asks me to play "Alabama." We were just
having lunch and he started singing "Home Town Honeymoon." It was hilarious.
My husband and I could not believe it. I just wanted to tell you that Alabama
will also be alive in our house. Thanks for the great songs!
Sincerely,
Cherie in Parsonsfield Maine.
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to get word out to the fellow fans that according to our local newspaper,

Joy! Hope you all had a joyous and loving Christmas! Randy, How do you
still look and sound so good with each passing birthday? Your Christmas albums
have charged our home with spirit of family, love, and hope. Thank you for that
gift to us all.
Love,
Vicki, OH
Just wondering if the fans will ever get an official statement from the
band on why Mark's pic isn't on the LAST STAND cd? Through all the years they
always said that ALABAMA will always be the 4 of them, but yet now it seems to
be getting really confusing. WIsh you all the best for the New Year!
Troy

Dear Alabama Band,
I just wanted to write to you and tell you that I am one of your biggest fans.
I love your style of singing and I just plain love you all as a group. I think
you are the best there is. I just purchased your last CD, "The Farewell Tour".
I love it. You guys have a whole lot of fans out here who love and adore you.
Keep up the good work.
Always a fan,

Hello again! I just want to tell Randy HAPPY BIRTHDAY and also to wish
you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!! My dream was to get to go to
one of your concerts and meet you in person. Well, my sister did get me tickets
to your Farewell Tour but due to unfortunate circumstances I was unable to attend.
On January 11th, 2008 I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. I was just hoping
that maybe Randy, Mark, Teddy or Jeff could write, call or email me to wish me
a Happy Birthday. That would really make my day. Even though I never got to go
to any concerts or meet you in person I have and always will be a fan of yours.
And as soon as I get the money I am going to get the "The Last Stand"
CD.
Your #1 Fan in Salem West Virginia, Corrina Roach

Hi, just wondering why Mark isn't on the cover of the Cracker Barrel CD.
Merry Christmas!
Kathy Egan
Hey Bama Boys!!!! I just purchased the Cracker Barrel CD. First, I'm so
happy that some of the recordings from the Farewell Tour are finally released.
Any chance that the whole concert will be released on CD or DVD? Also, I know
that the pictures on the CB cd are from past cd's. Why was Mark digitally taken
out of the pictures? He's as much a part of this as anyone. Oh well, as everyone
else, I dearly miss you guys and hope you have a great holiday season.
Cory/Bradley, IL.
I just wanted to wish the guys a very happy holiday season. I also wanted
to wish Randy a happy birthday and look forward to seeing all of the guys at Fan
Day. Take care and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I just heard the song MAKE A MIRACLE and the DJ said it was Alabama with
other guest singers. I can not find it anywhere and I NEED THAT SONG!!!!! For
years I have been advocating for OUR youth, today's youth. That song is perfect.
It brought me to tears and said just what my heart feels. Would someone please
let me know where I can get it. Thank you, God Bless, and Merry CHRISTmas.

I just want to you let you know that every morning I listen to you sing
"In the Garden" This was my mom's cd and her favorite song. My mom passed
away recently from cancer and I miss her terribly. This was not the outcome we
expected. Everytime I went to her house after she passed away, her cd player was
set on a timer to come on. This song was on everyday. I cried every day until
one day I took the cd and now I listen to it every morning. I cry but I just want
to tell you that you sing it wonderfully. I just have to keep playing it over
and over. I am sure my mom enjoyed listening to it all the time too. My mom was
my best friend and this has been the biggest adjustment in my life. She was a
wonderful woman, great mother, and grandma and she loved to sing. Thanks so much
for making that great cd. I will continue to listen to it, even though I cry it
helps me through the day. If you ever happen to sing this song at a concert or
somewhere, please let me know as I would love to hear you sing this song in person.
Thanks so much.

Just wanted to wish Randy a happy birthday, you are one month and two
days younger than my brother. My daughter sent me the new CD from Cracker Barrel.
We don't have Cracker Barrel in California. I also would like to know what Mark
is doing now and why he wasn't in the picture on the cover of the CD. He is the
best drummer I have ever heard in any music genre. Randy, I saw a picture of you
with your hair cut shorter, sure looks better and now we can see that handsome
face better. I also want to wish all of the Alabama family a very Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year. May be have Peace on Earth in the new year. Tell Potts hi
from Bakersfield.

Hello ALABAMA,
I’m Dallas Fox and attached are two images that I just took after finding
this LP you all did as Wildcountry when you first started. I was a Consulting
Engineer in Bowling Green, KY in 1975/1976 and I resided in my motor home at the
rear of the Red Carpet Inn when I first met you all. My family would visit me
from Dayton, Ohio from time to time and we all enjoyed your music. My two daughters
and my wife fell in love with you all. Anyway you autographed this old album and
I guess changing the name of your band was a catalyst to your long term success.
I’m retired now and living in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Thanks for all the years of great music.
Dallas Fox
happy birthday Randy hope you and your family are doing good and have
a good christmas and happy new year that also goes for every one else in the band.

Dear Alabama,
First and foremost, thank you, for all your years of devotion and hard work, to
the fans and your music alike. I can hear one of your songs and be magically transported
back home from whereever I may be at the time. I wanted to take just a few moments
of your time to ask if you will be doing another Songs of Inspiration album (those
are my favorites), if so how soon will it be available for the fans. Secondly
I have written a song for my Granddaddy and would love for you to hear and possibly
consider it for a future recording. I have recently visited your museum in Fort
Payne and it charged my battery(old Jerry Clower saying) to hear that Randy had
once sung with his father, mother and two sisters in a gospel group. Please relay
this question to Mr. Owen if you can: "Which three characters from the Dukes
of Hazzard were also on the Andy Griffith Show (here's a hint one traded his guitar
for a badge, one traded his jug for a pitch fork and the other went from a mayor
to a doctor) I won't take up any more of your time after so many years on the
road you deserve to have your time with your family. Who knows ,perhaps, if we
can't talk again, on this side of the river, maybe we can meet ,on the other,
and spend a few thousand years basking, in the warmth, of our Saviour's love.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!!!
God Bless,
WilliamRaines
I wanted to wish all of the Alabama Band family a wonderful holiday season.
I also just purchased your new CD from Cracker Barrel. And I was also wondering
why, as Patrick recently asked and posted, why Mark is not pictured on the back
of the CD? If anyone could answer that, I think many of us would appreicate it.
Good luck with the Christmas for Kids party today!
Susan in Michigan
I had to take a moment and send a message. While around the "water
cooler" discussing our favorite Christmas songs, I told someone my absolute
favorite is "Santa Claus - I Still Believe in You." They laughed at
me because as I told them about the song I got a bit misty. (I'm known for being
pretty emotional over the silliest things.) So, I found the lyrics and sent them
to everyone in the office. The lyrics brought lots of smiles and nods…and
a few tears. I'm sure I don't know the story behind the song, but folks our age,
with children, sure do understand every single word.
May God continue to bless you and your families.

Hi Randy Teddy Jeff & MARK I would like to wish all of the Fans a
Merry Christmas and a nice new years in 2008.
Love ya’’ all
from your Alabama Fan Gayle R Whitney, New Hampshire.
Dear Alabama:
I love the new CD "The Last Stand" but don't understand why Mark Herndon's
picture was not on the back of the CD. It is like The Beatles leaving John Lennon's
picture off one of their albums. But regardless, it brings tears to my eyes to
hear the four members of one of the greatest bands in country music history once
again playing music for their fans. And Mark, the fans know that it will always
take 4 musicians to be Alabama. Thanks.
Patrick
My son, Randy A Owen got a kick out of seeing his name and all the websites
with "Randy Owen" on it. He's 9 years old.

Dear Alabama
First of all, thank you for taking a minute to read my letter. My family and I
have enjoyed your music so much over the years. I don’t think that there
was a song that you all put out that I didn’t love. You’re album Roll
On was the first CD I ever owned and is still one of my favorites.

Hello~
My name is Dallas. I am 14 years old and a big fan of your music. My mom, Lynne,
is also a fan. I just wanted to tell all of you that the song "Angels Among
Us" is possibly one of the greatest songs ever.Every time we hear that song,
we think of my grandmother who died a few years ago. Every word in that song relates
to her and the words that you have written are true. My mom and I believe in angels,
and we believe my grandmother watches over us every day. My mom hears that song
and cries every time.
Thank you for the words and music.

Hi there,
My name is Vicki Jenkins from Pocatello, ID. I just felt I should thank you for
the song 'Angels among us". Every Thanksgiving weekend for the past seventeen
years, we have a fireworks show and chili feed at our local fairgrounds. The cost
of admission is a new toy for the needy children in our community. At the end
of the fireworks, just before the grand finale, we play your song and through
the years it has become the theme song of this event. There are around two thousand
people swaying and singing (alot of them with tears, including myself) and it
is absolutely moving to see all these people coming out into the cold for this
cause. I have been the organizer all these years and I will continue until I can
pass it on to my children & grandchildren.
Thank You for the warm, giving feeling you have added to this event!
Vicki Jenkins & the "Christmas in the Night Time Skies" crew
I met you guys in Prattville, Alabama at a concert you were putting on
and was able to get my special son back stage to meet you. Randy Owens, you changed
my life forever, You told me that I was the most beautiful lady that you have
ever meet. As long as I live, I will always remember that and what it means to
me!!!
I just wanted to say “Thank you”. After two not so great marriages,
I needed that vote of confidence.
Thanks again,
Kathy
I purchased “The Last Stand” on Friday. It brings back wonderful
memories from the Farewell concerts that I attended in Atlanta, Maryville and
Tallahassee. Thanks for the memories of the last 27 years and for the wonderful
c.d.

Dear Alabama,
My father and I just loved your song Angels Among Us. We were the only two out
of 8 siblings that knew this. Well last December 7th my father died in front of
my mother .I never got to say good-bye my heart is so crushed and broken. My father
had cancer and coronary artery disease. Well i drove 3 hours to my parents house
and when i got there, the phone rang when I opened my parents house door, it was
my younger sister she was crying and said can she bring the song "Angels
Among Us" to dads funeral, all I could do is drop to my knees and cryed.
We played that song and I sang it for my daddy who was only 50 years old. I will
always cherish that song and I cherish you all for such a beautiful song. I want
to thank you for all you do for people and may god bless your band . Have a blessed
holiday because there are truly Angels Among Us.

Hello Randy,Teddy,Jeff & Mark,
As of today I have rejoined the Alabama Fan Club. I finally made it to Fort Payne
and visited the gift shop. The lady that works there was so nice and pleasant
to talk to. I think I could have stayed there all day. Of course we talked about
the Boys in the Band. The good ole days. Back in the 80's, all the concerts, Fanfare
in Nashville. It's so sad that they are no longer touring. But thier families
deserves to have them home. They gave up thier home life for us, the fans. We
will miss the Boys. But now it's time for them to enjoy thier life with family.
So, thanks to Randy's wife & family, Teddy's family, Jeff's family and Mark's
family.
God bless you all and Christmas is right aroud the corner, so Merry Christmas
to all in Fort Payne, Alabama.
Kathy Woods-----Acwoth, GA
Goodness, its that time of the year already. I wanted to get an early,
"MERRY CHRISTMAS" TO THE "BOYS IN THE BAND"
God Bless all your families and all your adoring fans. PLEASE, remember the real
reason for Christmas.

Last week I purchased the new CD at Cracker Barrel, & I just wanted
to tell you how much I enjoyed this version of some old favorites! Listening to
the CD took me back to the 6 Farewell Tour concerts I attended in several southern
states. In fact, I was actually at the Tupelo, MS show where several of the songs
on the CD were recorded. I could almost close my eyes & pretend I was there
again in the audience, smiling & singing along at all those great concerts...what
a happy memory that was! The new CD is indeed a tribute to those special Farewell
shows that you guys gave us, the fans, & will become yet another treasured
favorite (& yes, I do have every single CD you ever released!). We still miss
you & hope that you are enjoying your "retirement"!! Happy Holidays
to the best group ever!

Hi Guys !!! You are and always will be the best Country Band there ever
was or is. I can't thank you guys enough for all the (GREAT MEMORIES) I have of
you. God Bless you !!! I was at the old Dating Lounge in 1979 on N.Dixie Dr.in
Dayton Ohio when you drove the old Van right before Tenn. River hit it big.

Just wanted to say that I love listening to the new "Live" cd
from the Farewell Tour. Thank you for finding a way to get the music to us. You
will always be #1 in the hearts of your fans.

I was listening to our local Country radio station 92.5 from Hartford
CT today and they mentioned that Alabama was going to release their first CD in
three years and it can be purchased at Cracker Barrel Restaurants exclusively.
Please let the Alabama "fans" know when the CD will be out. They said
it had a number of Alabama previously recorded songs on it along with 4 new songs
they used in their "Farewell Tour". I know Alabama fans can hardly wait
to have a new CD from the boys. I love all my Alabama albums/CD's and never get
tired of listening to them. The 'Songs of Inspiration" CD's are amazing.
I look forward to any music from Alabama. Please let us know when we can look
for Randy's CD. The "Fans" want more Alabama.
Joan Carley - Alabama fan for life - Shelton CT
(Ed's note: I'm posting this in hopes one of you readers will contact Pepper
and make a deal)
I followed a band (They were known as Wild Country) from Alabama that
always performed at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach. During one of the Summers in
the mid 70's, I as always went to the Beach during the time(s) that the band
would be performing. While at the Bowery and talking with all of the band members
before they started playing, Randy said he would be right back. He came "right
back" and gave me something. A Wild Country Album. He said it was their
first album and was dedicated to loyal fans and since he had seen my face during
every appearance, he even remembered my name, he wanted me to have a copy. I
remember a comment he made when he gave me the LP and I quote, "We're just
a little band from Alabama but someday we'll be big". Little did we both
know. My reason for now trying to obtain some monetary value for this album
is completely unselfish. I run a pet rescue and care facility and have for some
20 years. I have never received any profit for my animal ministry but find now
that I need to liquidate whatever is of value in order to survive and continue
to do what I believe I was meant to do. I have worked for 30+ years (as an accountant
and office manager), but keep finding myself unemployed. I, as of today, have
employment but it is a part time position with a low wage. I am thankful that
I have a job but desperately need additional monies to help keep my home ( I
am purchasing my "duoble wide paridise") that is also home to 17 permanent
members of my animal family. As a personal note, I have rescued, fostered and
placed in loving homes over 425 various animals over the past 8 years.
To be honest I am 55 years old, single with no siblings or children, my parents
now reside in Heaven; and I am completely alone except for God, my animal friends
and very few human (most don't like my animals) friends.
If there is anything that you or someone within your organization can do to
help, it would be an answer to Prayer. God Bless and thanks for reading this.
